Apple has confirmed it will be holding an in-person launch event on September 7 at 10am (3am September 8, AEST) to unveil the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro along with the Apple Watch Series 8.
The event be held at the company headquarters at Apple Park in Cupertino in the Steve Jobs Theatre.
The invitations sent out to the media show the Apple logo outlined by stars and the words “Far Out”.
From this we can assume it has something so do with the rumoured camera resolution improvement for the iPhone 14 Pro which will reportedly be 48-megapixel.

The iPhone 13 Pro has three 12-megapixel cameras – telephotos, wide and ultra-wide.
It’s a possibility one of those cameras of the iPhone 14 Pro will be 48-megapixel with two other 12-megapixel cameras.
And with that added resolution, the iPhone might also offer a new astrophotography mode to shoot the stars.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 (6.1-inch display), the iPhone 14 Max (6.7-inch) along with the iPhone 14 Pro (6.1-inch) and the iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch).

Reports suggest Apple will no longer be producing the 5.4-inch iPhone Mini which was part of the iPhone 13 range.
The iPhone 14 models will not look too different to the iPhone 13 in terms of design and display while the iPhone 14 Pro will no longer have a notch on the display and instead will have hole cut outs for the front facing camera and sensors.
The iPhone 14 pro will be powered by Apple’s new A16 chip while the iPhone 14 will likely have the A15 chip.
Apple will also unveil the Apple Watch Series 8 which could including new Apple Watch Pro which has a slightly new and more durable design and a larger size to appeal to athletes and users who enjoy the outdoors.

There are reports Apple may also introduce the second generation AirPods Pro at this September event.
Apple could use the event to unveil the new 10th generation iPad which has been rumoured to include a refreshed design like the iPad Air as well as an updated iPad Pro – but these could be held over for a separate event which may be held in October.
The Apple event on September 7 will be livestreamed on the company’s website, on YouTube an on Apple TV through the Apple TV app.
