Twitter reveals new look and new features
Twitter has unveiled a range of new features to allow users to express themselves even more effectively on the popular social media platform.
The new-look and additional features will be rolled out to users in the coming weeks and are designed to allow greater control of the tweets you want your followers to see.
You can also choose how you view other people’s timelines so you can find the content you’re most interested in.
The new features include:
BEST TWEETS
With the new design, tweets that have received more engagement – retweets, replies and favourites – will appear larger on your profile page to make it easier to find.
PINNED TWEETS
Traditionally the easiest tweets for your followers to see are the most recent ones.
But one new feature is being able to pin one of your tweets to the top of your profile page to give your followers your preferred view of who you are and what you’re about.
FILTERED TWEETS
When looking at other people timeline’s you can now choose how you’d prefer to see it.
The options here are regular tweets, tweets with photos or videos or tweets and replies.
These new features is already available to a small group of users – including @TechGuideAU – will be rolled out to other users in the next few weeks.
