Netgear has announced the new Orbi 860 mesh wireless series which will provide even faster home broadband speeds in Australia and ensure every device in your home is connected.
The Orbi 860, now available in black or white, has 10Gbps Ethernet ports as well as an upgraded antenna design to provide an even more robust wi-fi performance.
With 10Gbps support on the Orbi 860, it means your home wireless network can share data in your home or office at 10 billion bits per second or 10 times faster than the traditional Gigabit Ethernet standard.
So if you have data on a shared storage device like a NAS (network attached storage), Orbi 860 users will be able to access the movies, images, music and documents on their network at 10Gbps.
The Netgear Orbi 860 series has a patented backhaul technology so the communication between the main unit and satellites is not compromised and maintains the network’s speed without buffering.
