twitter7Today marks eight years since Twitter founder Jack Dorsey sent out his first tweet – “just setting up my twttr” – and started a whole wave of social media.

That was March 21, 2006 and Twitter has gone on to become an online phenomenon and change the way we interact and share information.

To celebrate Twitter is making it possible to take a trip down memory lane to remember your first tweet.

The #FirstTweet tool allows users to look up their own first tweet and anyone else’s first 140-character entry on the social media site.

Just type in the person’s @username to see it.
