Dick Smith will be offering the latest Kindle Paperwhite ereader for its Australian customers from February 12 with pre-orders now being taken on the company’s website.
The new Kindle Paperwhite has the same e-ink screen as previous Kindle models but with one major difference – it has a built-in light so you can read it anywhere and anytime.
The Kindle Paperwhite has a 6-inch screen and 2GB of internal memory.
Dick Smith will be offering the wi-fi only model of the Kindle Paperwhite for $149 plus delivery charges. You can order it here.
Tech Guide’s Kindle Paperwhite review
From all indications Dick Smith will not be stocking the device in store but it may be possible in the near future to pick up a Kindle Paperwhite which has been ordered on online in one of Dick Smith’s stores.
On the site is an option called Click and Collect but it has a red cross beside it which indicates it is unavailable at this time.
In terms of pricing the wi-fi model being sold through Dick Smith online for $149 is the version without special offers which is priced at $US139 on the Amazon website not including shipping costs.
