Microsoft Australia has slashed the price of the Surface RT tablet for educational institutions for a limited time with savings of up to $400.
The Surface RT has a 10.6-inch ClearType HD display and is running the Windows RT operating system.
Also available with the device is a cover that also doubles up as a keyboard along with a USB port and HD video out to make it possible to print documents and make presentations.
The Surface RT will also give students access to Microsoft Office – the world’s most used productivity software in school and businesses.
The Surface RT (32GB) will be priced at $219 (down from the estimated $559 RRP) $279 with the Touch Keyboard Cover (down from $679) and $319 with the Type Keyboard Cover (down from $708).
The offer will be available fro now until the end of August.
