ASUS has set a bold goal to bring powerful AI features within reach of every customer in 2025 after unveiling its latest lineup of powerful laptops at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
ASUS has made no secret of its vision – ubiquitous AI, incredible possibilities – and the company has backed that statement with a diverse new range of AI enabled products which blend power, performance and creativity.
Leading the charge is the ASUS Zenbook A14 – which happens to be the world’s lightest Copilot+ PC and the Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 16.
ASUS ZENBOOK A14
The Zenbook A14 offers the latest cutting edge AI experiences and is housed in an all-new sturdy yet lightweight Ceraluminium chassis.
The ASUS Zenbook A14 (UX3407) is the first product in the line-up to incorporate the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor so it can combine advanced performance with a thin design that weighs less than 1kg at between 889g and 980g depending on the model.
With these specs it will be easy for customers to take it anywhere.
Zenbook A14 boasts a remarkable 32 hours of battery life to allow users to stay unplugged longer which still staying productive and creative for days before you need to recharge.
And for the first time on as in book the entire chassis including the lid and the keyboard frame and bottom case is crafted from the company’s proprietary Ceraluminium material.
This Asus exclusive material is like a high-tech ceramic which not only offers protection against daily wear and tear but is also tough enough to resist scratches and fingerprints.
In fact it is three times tougher than anodized aluminium.
Design-wise ASUS has produced a simple yet elegant look with a minimized one-bar hinge and an enlarged touchpad to make it easier to move, feel and scroll.
Under the hood is the latest Snapdragon X Series processor with the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU offering up to 45 TOPS.
That all adds up to a Copilot+ experience that users will enjoy and to help them power through tasks and be more creative than ever.
Some of the AI experiences include Live Captions, Co-creator in Paint, Generative Fill in Paint and Image Creator in Photos.
The Zenbook A14 has a 14-inch OLED display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood is a dual fan design to ensure things stay cool wall maximising performance during demanding tasks.
Users can have up to 1TB of storage and up to 32GB RAM.
Audio is also high quality with sound by Harmon Kardon through two smart amplifiers and two speakers.
The Zenbook A14 has Dolby Atmos onboard so your music, movies and games will sound amazing.
On the security side the Zenbook A14 has new privacy features including adaptive lock and multi person detection.
In terms of connectivity, the Zenbook A14 has two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, HDMI and an audio.
It is also Wi-Fi 7 certified so will offer faster speeds when connecting to Wi-Fi 7 routers.
The Zenbook A14 will come in two colours – pumice stone (beige) and light basalt (grey).
VIVOBOOK 14, VIVOBOOK 16
The Asus Vivobook 14 and 16 offer a solid upgrade for customers seeking a value Copilot+ PC that can enhance their productivity, intelligence and security.
The laptops are powered by the Snapdragon X processor that offers 42 NPU TOPS of AI processing power.
This represents a 44 per cent improvement in performance over the previous generation and offers up to a remarkable 19.8 hours of battery life.
With AI on board, the Vivobook 14 and 16 provide new and impressive ways to create, improve efficiency and to be more productive.
Features like Cocreator in Paint really showcases the power of AI and allows you to start with a rudimentary sketch and end up with a professional drawing.
Also onboard is the Asus exclusive StoryCube application that can group your files based on the content while Live Captions offer real time and accurate subtitles to overcome any language barriers.
On the security side, the Microsoft Pluton security processor offers added protection against threats while the AI Camera can detect the user’s presence and lock the device as soon as they step away from the laptop.
This feature works with Adaptive Lock and Adaptive Dimming to preserve battery life while maintaining your privacy.
The Vivobook 14 and 16 have a range of ports including two USB-C ports, 2 USB 3.2 Type A, HDMI and an audio combo Jack.
The new Vivobook 14 and 16 are available in Cool Silver and Quiet Blue with the 14-inch model also available in Platinum Gold.
