A day before its iPad launch event, Apple has accidentally leaked the names of the new devices in the updated iPad User Guide in the iBook Store.
Pictures of the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 were displayed in the iPad User Guide for iOS 8 before the update was immediately taken down.
But not before the names of the devices and features were revealed – including a Touch ID fingerprint reader in the home button for both new iPads.
In the images the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 appear to have retained the same design.

Other information divulged in the leaked iPad User Guide was an improved camera that inherits the feature found on iPhones – Burst Mode to capture several pictures in a fraction of a second.
There have also rumours of larger iPad with a 12-inch screen that was reportedly to be named the iPad Pro. But this appears to be unlikely.

Apple’s event at the company’s Cupertino campus kicks off at 4am Friday October 17 (Sydney time) and will be streamed live on Apple TV and here on a Safari browser.
