Rode has just released the NTH-100M – the headset edition of the award-winning NTH-100 headphones – which includes a broadcast quality headset microphone and is ideal for media, podcasting, streaming and gaming.
The Rode NTH-100M has all the features of the NTH100 headphones with the addition of a removable microphone and cable.
We have been using the Rode NTH-100M headset for some time now.
In fact, if you’ve been listening to our Two Blokes Talking Tech and The Best Movies You’ve Never Seen podcasts for the last few weeks, both with Trevor Long, you can take a listen to the quality for yourself.
And if you’ve already invested in the Rode NT H100 headphones you can purchase the microphone as a standalone accessory to transform them into a professional headset.
“The NTH-100 headphones have been hugely successful since their release back in March,” said RØDE CEO Damien Wilson.
“We spent years meticulously designing these headphones to deliver the best listening experience possible, and they were an instant hit with everyone from audio professionals to home musicians and content creators, particularly for their highly accurate sound signature and ultra-comfortable design.
“It was incredibly gratifying to see our hard work pay off and now it is with great pleasure that we can deliver everything the NTH-100s have to offer in a professional headset.”
The headphones include 40mm dynamic drivers created with high grade components to deliver accurate audio with very low distortion.
The earcups have a contoured design and offer optimised acoustic performance while also including a layer of high-density memory phone to provide passive noise isolation.
And with the addition of the broadcast grade microphone, the NTH-100M is even more useful so users can enjoy studio-quality audio monitoring and broadcast quality voice capture all in one device.
The microphone has a miniature condenser capsule that provides detailed voice reproduction and is positioned to reject plosives no matter your head shape or size.
The microphone is fully detachable and can be stored in the included pouch when not in use.
The detachable mic includes a locking bayonet connector to ensure you get a solid connection every time you use it while still making it easy to remove and store when not being used.
The Rode NTH-100M Is built with high grade rugged components designed to be used every day from the spring steel headband to the durable Alcantara finishes and the Fit-lock system which means you don’t have to adjust the headphones to fit every time you put them on.
The NTH-100M is available now and is priced at $299 while the detachable NTH-Mic is available for $99.
