The latest episode of the Tech Guide podcast comes to you from Las Vegas where editor Stephen Fenech is attending the International Consumer Electronics Show.
In this week’s show, episode 28, Stephen talks about all of the major announcements after CES Press Day where companies revealed their new products and technologies.
Press Day, held at the Mandalay Bay Casino, is the day before CES officially opens its doors at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
The theme of the show so far seems to about connectivity, even higher definition screens and the ability to control other devices and share content with our smartphones or tablets.
LG announced more Ultra High Definition TVs, a new 55-inch OLED and One Touch connectivity while Samsung wowed the crowd with an 85-inch Ultra High Definition screen of its own and an all-new way to interact with its new Smart TVs.
Over at Panasonic, a new smart TV features were announced along with bone conduction headphones.
Netgear also revealed a number of new wi-fi products to bring us even closer to the smart home concept.
Sony’s press conference was the last event on Press Day and it unveiled the new Xperia Z smartphone which utilises the best of Sony’s technology for the screen, camera and connection.
