Dreame has spent the week showcasing a range of new products including cars, TVs, home appliances and robots but now it has set its sights on the lucrative smartphone market with a new modular device that can be adjusted to suit the user.
Dreame also introduced a new range of smart rings including one that offers haptic feedback.
The Aurora Nex has a modular attachment system which allows the user to attach module they want to use to the back of the phone.
So think of the current camera bump on your phone being removable and replaceable with another module.
The company’s approach is to break physical limits and not produce simply a closed box but rather a product that is expandable and different for every user.
Dreame has four modules for the Aurora Nex including the Action Camera module, which has a 50MP sensor and ultra-fast 0.1-second autofocus.
Then there’s the Telephoto module, which has a 50MP sensor, 10x optical zoom and LOFIC capability which produces HDR images.
The Satellite module will be able to connect the user to make phone calls anywhere on Earth.
The company showed a slide with the user holding the Aurora Nex up to his ear in the middle of a remote mountain territory.
And the final module is called the Agent, which we understand to be an AI device that can get to know you, hear what’s going on around you, summarise conversations, and generally keep track of everything around you and anticipate your needs.
It has its own display and its own memory.
Dreame also revealed its Aurora Lux range of luxury bejewelled smartphones, which come in five models – Lux Loop Sanctuary, Imperial Totem, Golden Age Regalia Shield and Axiom Geometry.
Each of these devices are aimed at the luxury market with a bedazzled look and is made from premium materials.
Dreame has high ambitions for its smartphones and has been working hard on new technologies to take them beyond their current capabilities.
These include 360-degree antennas and optimisation algorithms and an always-on signal engine that can predict baseline locations to ensure your signal stays constant.
Dreame has also developed the Aura OS 1.0 for its smart devices which offer a luxury interface over what we understand is the Android platform.
The devices will have 800W wireless charging and a massive 7000mAh battery and an industry-leading 1-inch sensor for the onboard camera.
Dreame also announced a range of three new smart rings – the haptic ring, the health ring, and the NFC ring.
Dreame will also release a luxury series.
The haptic ring has a tiny haptic motor built into the ring that’s just 2.5 mm thick and weighing just 4.6 g.
This will provide a new way to communicate with the user. When they feel the vibration on their finger.
The haptic feedback will also remind you to stand up and move your body and to tell you when are getting a call, when you’ve received a message and other app notifications.
The ring also has gesture controls so it can be used to control your music and remotely trigger your camera shutter.
The Health Ring would keep track of your heart rate and body temperature and track all your activities.
The software looks at your data, builds a personalised baseline for each user, and suggests ways you can improve your health.
The NFC ring can be link to credit cards and transport cards and allow you to make the transaction or pay your fare simply by placing your hand over the sensor.
The Dreamy Smart Rings have up to 100 days of battery life, are water resistant to 50 m, and are compatible with iOS and Android devices.
The Luxury series are made from premium materials and jewellery-grade craftsmanship while still offering multi-sensor feedback so you can keep track of your data.
The Dreame smartphones and smart rings are expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
