The new Suunto Run sportswatch is designed customers who are more interested in tracking their training and recovery and improving their performance.
The Suunto Run brings together smart running features that are powered by AI and running on the fastest operating system to date.
And it’s all brought together and displayed on the 1.32-inch AMOLED display – it is the brightest screen in the category.
It weighs just 36g.
The standout features of the Suunto Run are the simple operation, the sleek design and the impressive performance.
The Suunto Run also offers highly accurate GNSS navigation which connects quickly and allows users to review their routes on the watch and within the Suunto app following their run.
There are 34 different sport modes but among them is the new run specific modes which can be used to train for marathons and track running.
In Marathon Mode, runners can access real-time estimated results to help them fine tune their run on the fly to achieve optimal performance.
Track Mode can optimise your speed work on the track and accurately record every lap.
There’s even a Ghost Runner Mode which allows runners to race their friends virtually on the same run.
If there’s a circuit that you and your friends like to run, the Ghost Runner Mode will be able to track your performance against their performance and you will be able to see your progress against them on the watch in real time.
The Suunto Run is the result of a worldwide collaboration with runners to come up with an intuitive interface to access a 360-degree training experience.
The device can also provide deeper insights into your training, activity levels and recovery.
It can also provide structured workouts for interval training.
There’s also a breadcrumb navigation feature which allows runners to follow different paths even when they’re offline.
For serious athletes, managing your recovery is just as important as the training itself.
The watch can track your training load, monitor your post exercise heart rate and even provide a Training Stress Score to ensure you’re not overdoing it.
Apart from running, the Suunto Run can also be used in other sport modes and track when you’re hiking, cycling, playing tennis, boxing and much more.
And it is useful even beyond your training sessions thanks to features like weather updates and alarms.
The Suunto Run can also be used to store MP3 audio files so you can listen through your paired earphones to your favourite tunes while you’re running and without having to carry your smartphone.
One of the best features is the amazing battery life which can run for up to 12 days of daily use.
This means runners can focus on their performance instead of worrying about the battery level.
The Suunto Run is available in four colour options coral orange, lime, frost grey and all black.
There is also a range of 22mm wide accessory straps from Suunto as well.
The Suunto Run is priced at $449.95 and is available now through Suunto and Amazon.
