We’ve all heard about wireless earphones that connect with Bluetooth to your device but Onkyo has take that a step further with the W800BT which are completely wire-free earphones.
Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, these earphones have absolutely no cables with the left and right earpieces working independently and connecting via Bluetooth to your smartphone.
Each earpiece has a silicone tip so they sit comfortably and securely in place while you’re on the move listening to your music.
And with no cables at all to worry about the listener can experience true freedom that regular headphones and earphones can’t match.
But the earpieces don’t suffer any lack of quality without those cables.
Each has an 8.6mm high powered-driver that delivers clean and crisp sound across a frequency range of 6Hz to 22kHz.
It has a closed acoustic architecture which contributes to the sound quality and also adds passive noise isolation.
On the right earpiece you’ll also find a microphone so you can also make and answer calls hands-free on your smartphones as well.
The Onkyo W800BT also comes with a case that not only safely stores the earphones but that charges them as well.
There’s also pop out USB cable so it can be plugged into a power source and recharge the earphones while resting inside.
After a full charge, listeners can look forward to around three hours of playback.
The Onkyo W800BT will be released in Australia in the coming months. Official pricing has yet to be announced.
