The Ultenic T10 Pro Lite is an affordable and effective robot vacuum and mop that offers great value and versatility. It really punches above its weight.
When it comes to robot vacuums there is a notion you need to spend thousands to find a unit that can clean effectively – the new Ultenic T10 Pro Lite proves that’s not always the case.
Priced at $599 and available from robotmylife.com.au, the T10 Pro Lite certainly punches above its weight to deliver an impressive clean of your hard floors and carpet.
It has 4500Pa suction that can scoop up more the 80 per cent of the debris and dust on your floors.
It is powerful enough to pick up fine particles like flour.
For our review we set up the unit on the upstairs level of our two-storey home which is mainly carpet with two tiled bathrooms.
We set up the small charging station in the main open living area and paired the unit to our wireless network via the Ultenic app.
It was an easy step-by-step process that took just a few minutes.
The unit set out on its first journey and one of the first tasks was to map our home which it dutifully did while also vacuuming our carpet.
Upstairs we have chocolate colour carpets and it’s not hard to spot dust and threads and other stuff that need to be vacuumed.
As the T10 Pro Lite moved through each room you could easily tell where it had been.
We did have to pick up a few objects and thin rugs off the floor.
It has LIDAR sensors onboard and it did a good job navigating furniture like beds, chairs, couches and shelves.
There were only a couple of occasions where we had to intervene – once when the robot got jammed under the front edge of a desk.
The other time was when its suction caused a towel to come up off the floor and bog it down.
The side brush can reach into corners and edges and places where a regular vacuum cleaner just can’t reach.
When the robot moves to carpet from a hard floor it senses the difference and you can hear the motors kick in even harder to handle the boosted cleaning effort required on carpet.
On the mopping side, water is fed down to the mop pads and dispensed when needed on the hard floors.
The T10 Pro Lite can clean for up to two hours before it needs to return to the charger.
And if it’s in the middle of a clean it can steer itself back to the charging station, juice up again and then head out and pick up where it left off.
And when it’s done, the robot empties the onboard dustbin to a dust bag located inside the cleaning station.
It does this each time it cleans and you don’t need to touch it for up to 45 days.
Replacement bags cost less than $8 and last for six weeks before you need to change it.
The dust bin and water tank clip into the back of the robot. The dust bin lid is in the centre and you can fill the water tank from a resealable port.
The T10 Pro Lite can also remember the map for multiple levels in your home – up to five stories.
The robot is smart enough to know where it is not supposed to go like stair, for example.
Our open living area is right near our stair and the T10 Pro Lite went right to the edge, but it knew that was a no go zone.
Speaking of no-go zones, the robot will stop and not enter rooms and areas you designate through the app.
The app is your one stop shop to control the T10 Pro Lite. From here you can set schedules for when it goes out to clean, adjust power settings, set your no-go zones and check in on the progress of the clean.
And being a smart device, the Ultenic T10 Pro Lite also works with Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant so you can control the unit with your voice.
The Ultenic T10 Pro Lite is available now from robotmylife.com.au and is priced at $599 – down from $1,200 till the end of the October.
