The LG Signature OLED T transparent and true wireless 4K OLED TV, first seen in January at the Consumer Electronics Show, will finally go on sale this month in the US with other markets including Australia to follow.
The LG Signature 77-inch OLED T was one of the stars of CES 2024 because of its remarkable ability to transform from a regular TV and become transparent.
The television won five CES 2024 Innovation Awards.
While in transparent mode the TV creates the illusion that your content is floating in mid-air as it merges what you’re seeing on screen with the space around you.
The TV has an always on display mode which can also turn the screen into a digital canvas to display artwork, videos or photos.
The T Bar is another feature and provides an information ticker along the bottom edge of the screen so you can see at a glance things like sports results, IoT devices, weather and information about the media you’re playing.
And despite its size, the 77 inch LG OLED T can be placed anywhere without being obtrusive or blocking natural light.
Apart from the remarkable transparent nature of the display, the LG OLED T also connects wirelessly via the LG Zero Connect Box with 4K at 120Hz beamed from across the room to the TV.
This adds to reduce clutter and allows the TV to stand out on its own.
“LG SIGNATURE OLED T is an exceptional user-focused innovation that offers a distinctive, multi-faceted viewing experience and unprecedented spatial flexibility,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
“LG remains at the forefront of innovation by combining its industry-leading OLED technology with unique form factors, transparent screens, wireless connectivity and more, delivering unparalleled, life-enriching advancements no other TV maker can replicate.”
