Modern technology gives us many things.

Take a look at the first Call of Duty multiplayer map set in Australia

For the first time ever, Australian Call of Duty fans will be able compete on a multiplayer map that is set on home soil on the shores of the picturesque Sydney Harbour.

Perplex is part of the second multiplayer map pack for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare called Ascendance and is the first to be set in Australia.

The map was created after Michael Condrey – studio head of development and co-founder of Sledgehammer Games – fell in love with Sydney during a visit last year.

“Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s DLC content takes players on a journey to iconic locations throughout the world, and I’m very excited that we were able to include Sydney,” Condrey said.

“It’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited, and the spirit and friendliness of the Australian people is truly amazing.

“To our friends Down Under, we dedicate this map to you and your beautiful country.”

Perplex is a small to mid-size map that will see players battle it out in a five-storey modular apartment complex in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Construction drones come along halfway through the match and re-arrange the apartment modules to create new paths and places to take cover.

Also in the Ascendance map pack is Site 244, Climate and Chop Shop.
