Leading home security brand Arlo has unveiled new AI-powered features to its subscription service which now includes Advanced Audio Detection.
This means the Arlo cameras are not only watching for movement they’re also listening as well to things like screams, gunshots, dogs barking and glass breaking and provide appropriate notifications for the homeowner to act.

Subscriptions to Arlo Secure Plus has now exceeded 5 million paid accounts globally.
Arlo Secure Plus already enhances the features of Arlo security cameras and provides even more security features for total protection.
These new features are powered by Arlo Intelligence which can help customers better understand what’s happening in and around their homes so they can make the fastest and most appropriate responses in an emergency.
Already included with Arlo Secure Plus is person recognition, vehicle recognition and the ability to create custom scenarios for detection.
Arlo also recently included flame detection.
Now with the new Advanced Audio Detection capabilities, users can be notified when certain sounds are heard including screams, gunshots, dogs barking, glass breaking or smoke and security alarms.
After each of these scenarios users will receive an alert and the ability to view live video and determine what action needs to be taken and to see whether it is suspicious activity.
The new Advanced Audio Detection feature works with the Essential Indoor 2K and Wired Floodlight Camera.
From this month, customers who purchase an Arlo camera will receive a 30 day trial of Arlo Secure Plus so they can experience an advanced level of protection.
