Leading home security company Arlo has released new fire detection technology to provide an earlier warning when a flame is detected so emergency services can be alerted even faster.
Arlo users will receive an urgent smart notification if flames are present which would be well before smoke triggers the smoke alarm.
By detecting the fire earlier it give users a better chance of evacuating, calling in emergency services and saving important belongings.
And if you’re at work, on holidays or outside your home you can react faster to the emergency.
The early detection means users have a better chance of prevent a small fire turning into a large fire that could potentially engulf your home.
Arlo’s advanced fire detection feature is part of the latest Secure 5 Plus subscription and uses Arlo’s advanced cameras to identify a fire in its earliest stages.
This is even before any smoke is spread.
These extra few minutes will give users more time to get to safety and avoid significant damage to their home and belongings.
Arlo’s fire protection works with Arlo’s existing suite of indoor and outdoor security cameras so there is no need to purchase additional equipment.
Arlo’s fire detection is available now as part of the latest update to Arlo Secure 5 Plus in Australia.
Existing Arlo Secure 5 Plus subscribers will have to activate this feature.
Arlo says its fire detection feature is a supplementary tool and should not replace standard fire detection equipment like smoke alarms.
