Belkin is one of the first companies to support the new Apple feature introduced with the iPhone 12 – MagSafe – which means the device can be charged wirelessly and held in place on your desk, your bedside table and in your car.
The Belkin range of three MagSafe products have now gone on sale in Australia.
These include the MagSafe Car Vent Mount Pro ($59.95), the Boost Charge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charger with MagSafe ($149.95) and the Boost Charge Pro MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charger ($219.95).
MagSafe includes an array of magnets around the wireless charging coil of the iPhone 12 so it can connect and align perfectly for wireless charging,
MagSafe works with any of the iPhone 12 models and whenever the iPhone 12 is in an Apple MagSafe case.
Users with an iPhone 12 in a non-MagSafe case will find they won’t attach magnetically to the Belkin products and also won’t be charged wirelessly.
They will have to remove them from the case for the iPhone to attach and charge.
Expect to see more MagSafe cases from third party manufacturers this year.
BELKIN MAGSAFE CAR VENT MOUNT PRO – $59.95
The Belkin MagSafe car mount is a great way to use the magnet side of MagSafe to hold your phone securely in place.
It attaches securely to the car’s air conditioning vent and can be adjusted to angle towards the driver.
The iPhone 12 then attaches to the mount in portrait or landscape in full view of the driver.
But this is not a charger – it just holds the iPhone 12 in place.
Users can take advantage of a cord organiser on the back to route a cable to charge the iPhone while you’re driving.
BELKIN BOOST CHARGE PRO 2-IN-1 WIRELESS CHARGER WITH MAGSAFE – $149.95
This is a dual charger with MagSafe so any iPhone 12 can be positioned easily and charged at up to 15W at the same time.
And then below on the stand there is a spot to rest your wireless AirPods case so they can charge at the same time.
It has a premium design and looks good on a desktop or bedside table.
BELKIN BOOST CHARGE PRO MAGSAFE 3-IN-1 WIRELESS CHARGER – $219.95
This Belkin product is designed for the user who’s rocking the Apple trifecta – the iPhone 12, the Apple Watch and the AirPods.
You can now charge all three on the same device and using MagSafe for the iPhone 12.
The 3-in-1 charger is available in black or white and has a stylish finish so it won’t be out of place on your desk or in your bedroom.
The Belkin MagSafe range is now available.
