Boost Mobile returning to Coles to offer refurbished iPhone 8 at a special price

Boost Mobile has upgraded its refurbished iPhone offer at Coles supermarkets and will be offering the iPhone 8 to customers nationally from tomorrow for the special price of $359.

This offer follows the hugely successful sale of the refurbished iPhone 7 last year which kicked off the partnership between Boost Mobile and Coles to offer technology at affordable prices.

Apple’s iPhone 8 has a 4.7-inch display with TrueTone, a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front 7-megapixel selfie camera.

The iPhone 8 was also the first Apple device to offer wireless charging so it can be rested on a charging mat to recharge the onboard battery.

For the introductory price of $359, the iPhone 8 comes in a box with a charging cable and wall charger.

Also included is a Boost Mobile $10 prepaid SIM which includes 3GB data and unlimited calls and texts.

The iPhone 8 would have passed a 72-point inspection to ensure it is not only in great working condition but also in great physical condition as well.

Each phone has been data wiped and cross-checked with against a national police lost and stolen database.

The refurbished iPhone 8 also comes with a 12-month warranty.

“We were delighted to see the response from our customers when we first offered refurbished smartphones through Boost Mobile in late 2020,” said Coles General Manager Non-Food, Jonathan Torr.

“There is clearly very strong demand for well-priced, high quality refurbished smartphones and we are happy to roll this out to be a truly national opportunity for our customers after our initial trial, as we continue to deliver value for our customers in a more sustainable way.

“We know that the refurbished iPhones sell out very quickly so customers’ need to get in early to avoid disappointment, there are no rainchecks.”

The iPhone 8 is a very popular device that is often bought and sold privately online. But what those customers don’t receive is a 12-month warranty and the 72-point check to ensure the device you’re buying privately is in good working order and not stolen.

Peter Adderton, founder of Boost Mobile, was pleased with the response from Australians to the first refurbished smartphone in partnership with Coles.

“It was phenomenal, and we can now step it up with a newer iPhone model that will go across the country and is perfect timing for kids going back to school,” he said.

The iPhone 8

“We want all Australians to stay connected without the unnecessary high costs and we are happy to once again deliver a versatile, quality and incredibly well-priced offering through the refurbished iPhone 8 as Australians seek cost effective options more than ever before.”

The refurbished iPhone 8 will go on sale across Coles supermarkets across the country tomorrow for the introductory price of $359 for a limited time before reverting to the regular price of $429.
