Modern technology gives us many things.

Huawei unveils elegant range of fashion smartwatches for women

Huawei has revealed the first range of smartwatches designed specifically for women that delivers the latest wearable technology and functionality along with stylish sculpted designs.

There are two models in the new Huawei range – Jewel and Elegant – which have a Swiss-influenced.

The Jewel has 68 precision cut and polished Swarovski Zirconia that are 1.5mm in size to elegantly frame the sapphire crystal-covered face.

The Elegant is also made of rose gold with a knurled pattern around the face along with a leather watch strap in either pearl white or sapphire blue.

To celebrate the launch of the new Huawei fashion watches, the company has partnered with Vogue Australia and was seen at Vogue China’s 10th anniversary celebrated at Milan Fashion Week.

This move demonstrates Huawei is making a serious effort to combine fashion and technology.

The new Huawei smartwatches were revealed at a cocktail party which attracted celebrities, models and executives from Huawei and Vogue along with fashion and tech writers.

“As fashion trends continue to evolve, wearable technology is now accepted and adopted as a conscious fashion statement,” says Marc Di Giacomo, Huawei Australia’s head of consumer marketing.

“As one of the leading consumer electronics brands globally, Huawei is committed to leading the way in the fusion of technology and fashion to create products that are equal parts aesthetically pleasing, versatile and practical.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Vogue to bring our vision to life.”

Well-known fashion photographer Mario Testoni is behind Huawei’s current global campaign, along with model Karlie Kloss, to establish itself as a player in the fashion world.

The Huawei Jewel and Elegant watches have a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED watch face and is powered by the Android Wear operating system which syncs with both Android smartphones and iPhones.

There are more than 40 customisable fashion watch faces and the device can be personalised with any 18mm strap or band.

Under the hood is a gyroscope, 6-axis motion sensor and heart rate monitor so it can track your activities and exercise with advanced technology that can even distinguish the type of exercise you’re doing.

The Huawei Watch Jewel and Elegant will be priced at $699 and available from April 20 from selected Myer, Harvey Norman stores along with selected jewellers and Huawei kiosk nationally.
