“Kayo has experienced massive subscriber growth and is undoubtedly the go-to destination for Australian sports fans,” says Kayo Sports CEO Julian Ogrin.
“We are always looking to improve our market leading user experience, as well as making the service available to more Australians, so we are thrilled to be launching on PlayStation 4 and 5 where we know a lot of fans consume their sport.
“And with our recent launch onto selected Hisense TVs, Kayo has never been more available to sports lovers.”
Since its launch in 2018, Kayo Sports has become Australia’s fastest growing streaming platform and passed a million subscribers in May 2021. It also launched on selected Hisense TVs in May.
The expansion to the PlayStation platform will allow easier access to the service and boost subscriber numbers even further.
“We know so many of our Aussie gamers are obsessed with sport,” says Goncalo Fialho, general manager, PlayStation Australia and New Zealand.
“Our exciting partnership with Kayo continues to make PlayStation the best place to play and be entertained and gives our players even more ways to watch all their favourite sports content they want on their consoles.”
For Kayo Sports subscribers, the second half of 2021 offers plenty to look forward to including the NRL and AFL finals.
A new deal has just been brokered with the National Basketball League which will see every game of the 2021/2022 NBL season streamed live via ESPN on Kayo.
A huge summer of cricket also awaits and will be highlighted by the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and the Women’s Test Series against India plus the highly-anticipated Ashes Series.
