Remember the super thin PencilVac from Dyson – there is now another member of the family – the PencilWash. It is a super slim at just 38mm wide but can still tackle your spills and stains.
It has a 38mm wide handle – like the PencilVac – so it’s easy to use and manoeuvre around your home.
The PencilWash brings to the table Dyson’s wet cleaning expertise and hygiene.
“We’re keen on making machines smaller and lighter while dramatically improving
performance. PencilWash™ applies that thinking to wet cleaning: our slimmest, ultra
light format that glides effortlessly and reaches where others can’t,” says John Churchill, Chief Technology Officer, Dyson.
“Using hydration, agitation and extraction, it delivers a hygienic clean with fresh water only, supported by our filter-free system.
“It brings the simplicity of a broom together with the precision and power from Dyson engineering.”
The unit weighs just 2.2kg but it glides effortlessly in all directions and can also lie almost flat to clean under furniture as well.
Unlike regular floor cleaners, the Dyson PencilWash has no filters that could trap dirt and breed bacteria.
The filter-free design removes the potential for sludge and blockages and maintains optimal performance.
The Dyson PencilWash has a high density microfibre roller that can easily handle messes, spills and stains thanks to its 64,000 filaments per square centimetre that spins at 640 RPM for reliable cleaning every time.
The dirty water and debris collected are continually extracted from roller on every rotation.
It has a precision 8-point hydration system which constantly supplies fresh water so dirty water will never touch your floor.
There are two hydration modes to offer precise control of the floor wetness.
It has a 300ml clean water tank which can clean up to 100 square metres of hard floors.
Customers can also purchase a Dyson probiotic hard floor cleaning solution with a non-foaming non-toxic formula.
The Dyson PencilWash goes on sale on March 5 and it will be priced at $499.
