DJI, the company known for its impressive drones and creative camera tech, has upgraded its popular Osmo gimbal camera with the launch of the Osmo Pocket 4P.
The Osmo Pocket 4P is a dual-lens gimbal camera with a new 1-inch CMOS sensor with 17 stops of dynamic range.
It also has a primary wide-angle lens they can support up to 4K 240 fps video along with a 60mm med-tele lens with an f1.8 aperture for incredible natural portraits.
It also supports 3x optical zoom and up to 12x zoom.
The larger f/1.8 aperture can draw a subject closer and add a blurred background effect to create remarkable cinematic videos.
The Osmo Pocket 4P can also capture 8x Ultra HD slow-motion footage at 4K 240fps to slow down those dynamic moments, whether it’s fast moving and spinning objects or flowing hair.
The device also brings to the table the new 10-bit D-Log2 colour profile, which can capture more than 1 billion colours to render scenes with outstanding light and shadow fidelity.
This adds tremendous flexibility for post-production colour grading.
But the Osmo Pocket 4P retains its original design and compact 230g body – which makes it easy to have by your side to capture moments and memories.
At its heart is the three-axis Ronan Stabilisation System, which has been recognised by both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy.
This three-axis mechanical gimbal your footage is smooth and steady.
New upgraded ActiveTrack 8.0 can keep subjects, whether it’s people, a vehicle, pets or other objects, firmly anchored in the middle of the frame, even at 12x zoom.
In the vlog combo the new Osmo FrameTap – a small remote control with a screen, joystick, and record button so you can control the Osmo Pocket 4P remotely after accurately framing yourself.
