LG Electronics has released it’s new WashTower lineup that includes Australia’s largest washing machine.
The new WashTower combines a Signature washing machine and dryer and puts them in a single stacked design.
The washing machine has a 19kg capacity and it is stacked below the 10kg capacity dryer.
This combination can make light work for laundry day in Australian households and get through more clothes at once.
LG’s WashTower range has been empowered with AI capabilities including the AI Direct Drive technology along with AI Wash Cycle which ensures the unit selects the optimal wash cycle based on the weight of the clothes.
The machine can also detect fabric types and add the right amount of fabric softener needed for each load.
The new AI Dry Cycle also optimises the drying time based on the humidity and temperature of the dryer to help you save both time and energy.
“LG is committed to delivering innovative laundry solutions that meet the changing needs of Australian households and help them rediscover the good in everyday moments.” said Shannon Tweedie, Marketing Manager for Home Appliance Solution Company at LG Electronics Australia.
“Our largest ever washing machine addresses the growing demand for appliances that offer greater long-term value by allowing users to tackle large wash loads in fewer cycles, saving valuable time, all while fitting seamlessly into modern homes.”
LG’s new 19kg washer is a decent upgrade from the previous model which had a 17kg capacity.
It can handle much larger wash loads and get through the home’s sheets and towels in fewer cycles.
It can also handle larger items like doonas, blankets and jackets.
But despite the larger wash capacity, the WashTower offers a single stacked footprint to make it perfect for a vertical laundry configuration.
Also on board is a 4.3-inch LCD touch display which offers control for both the washer and dryer from a single interface.
From here, users can control the machines, the wash and dry cycles and see progress times.
Through the LG ThinQ mobile app it’s possible to monitor and control the wash cycles remotely.
The app also provides details on energy usage, can send notifications and adjust settings right from their smartphone.
The new WashTower range is available in four colorways – Black, Matte Grey, Forest Green and Navy blue – which suits the growing trend of matching home appliances with home décor.
LG’s new 19kg/10kg WashTower line-up is available now and is priced at $4,999.
