Paramount plus has become the latest streaming service to launch in Australia with a wealth of new content to access through your mobile devices and televisions.
The service launched today across Australia and is backed by the CBS network, the parent company of the 10 Network, as well as the Paramount Studio.
The new platform will also replace the existing 10 All Access streaming service. When it launched in the US it replaced the CBS All Access service.
Paramount Plus will be priced at $8.99 per month, making it cheaper than other streaming services including Netflix, Stan and Disney Plus.
At this time the service will only be streaming content in high definition.
This new service will provide dozens of television shows and a huge library of films Along with a regular stream of new content that will be updated regularly.
Subscribers will also receive the existing 10 All Access content as well as shows from Nickelodeon, Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV and the Smithsonian Channel.
Some of the TV shows available on the service include Two Weeks to Live, Five Bedrooms, iCarly, Dexter, The Affair, Nurse Jackie and House of Lies.
There will be more than 300 movies available including hits from Paramount’s back catalogue like The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings series, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, and the Indiana Jones series.
There may also be new movies added to the service between 30 and 45 days after their theatrical release window.
Viewers will also be able to watch sport on Paramount Plus after the platform secured the rights to A-League, W-League and FFA Cup plus Socceroos and Matildas matches which were previously only viewable on Fox Sports.
Viewers will be able to access the Paramount Plus on iPhone and iPad, through Apple TV, Android, via TVs running Android TV and Google TV and through Chromecast with Google TV, Amazon’s Fire Stick and Fetch TV.
Paramount Plus will be $8.99 per month with first seven days free. An annual subscription costs $89.99.
