Arlo has launched the latest version of its excellent wire free cameras – the Arlo Pro 3 – which is an improved security solution for your home or office that is now even easier to set up.
The Arlo Pro 3 cameras now offer 2K resolution with HDR (high dynamic range) for improved image quality.
The cameras also incorporate a spotlight with colour night vision and a wide 160-degree field of view.
Arlo is the leader in the wire-free security camera market in Australia with more than 36 per cent market share.
The reason for this growth is because customers are looking for peace of mind when it comes to their home’s security.
Arlo’s approach is to connect and protect customers.
The cameras includes intelligent software with sophisticated motion detection they can distinguish between people, animals, cars and even packages.
The new Arlo Pro 3 has about 80 per cent more pixels than the previous model thanks to a brand-new image sensor.
The cameras can record up to 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution with HDR for even clearer video in the light and dark areas in a scene.
The Arlo Pro 3 have a weatherproof housing that can be installed inside or out within range of your network on a magnetic amount. A screw mount is also available for added physical security.
The cameras are pre-paired to the included SmartHub base station making installation easier than ever before.
The SmartHub also includes a USB port which makes it possible to connect an external hard drive to store all camera recordings locally.
For the first time, the Arlo Pro cameras include a built-in siren which can be triggered automatically or manually from the Arlo companion app.
Users can monitor in real time the feeds from the Arlo cameras and also talk to whoever is in view using the on-board two-way audio.
It’s possible to set notifications when motion or noise is detected.
The spotlight will also turn on automatically when it detects motion or audio to ward off intruders.
Also on board is colour night vision – a feature introduced on the Arlo Ultra – but that’s now a part of the Arlo Pro 3 system.
This makes it possible to distinguish colours even at night for a clearer view of whoever is on your property.
Arlo Pro 3 can also fit into your smart home and can be controlled with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and it’s also HomeKit compatible.
The cameras now have a long lasting battery which can be recharged with a magnetic cable that can also be used to supply direct power.
There are also a range of convenient accessories including a solar panel, extended length outdoor charging cables as well as a dual charging station which will keep two batteries fully charged at all times to swap out when needed.
The new Arlo Pro 3 will be available from next week.
Pricing starts at $419 for a Pro 3Add-on camera. The Arlo Pro 3 two-pack including the new SmartHub is priced at $949.
