realme has unveiled its latest smartphone which offers 5G for under $500

realme has broken the $500 barrier for a 5G smartphone with new the realme 7 device which not only offers 5G connectivity but also a 120Hz ultra smooth display, 30W fast charging and a 5,000mAh battery.

One of the fastest growing smartphone brands, realme has managed to combine a number of impressive features with the realme 7 5G which has been priced at $499.

“2021 is the year that 5G becomes a reality for Aussies across the country,” says realme managing director Andy Yang.

“At realme, we want to pave the way in ensuring all consumers can benefit from the capabilities of 5G by delivering pound for pound the best 5G device on the market.

“The realme 7 5G is our latest innovation that demonstrates our longstanding commitment to providing premium devices at a friendly price-point.

“This device combines all the features that we know Aussies want.

“From exceptionally quick 5G download speeds, to an ultra-smooth display, the impressive 5000mAh battery and fast charging capabilities, the realme 7 5G is a game changer when it comes to making premium accessible to all.”

The realme 7 5G makes 5G affordable for even more customers at a time when the 5G network footprints are growing rapidly.

This means, in 5G coverage areas, customers can stream and download content at even higher speeds.

The realme 7 5G can actually handle two 5G SIM cards for those customers who want separate their work calls from their personal calls or if they need to make international calls.

It has a 6.5-inch fullscreen (90.5 per cent screen to body ratio) which is equipped with 120Hz refresh rate so you can see smooth visuals when watching content, playing games and just swiping and scrolling around.

On the camera side, the realme 7 5G smartphone also has a quad camera system with a 48-megaopixel ultra high resolution lens, an 8-megapixel wide-angle, macro lens and 2-megapixel black and white portrait lens.

Also includes is a Super Nightscape Mode for those who want to give astrophotography a try.

There is also no worry about running out of power on the go thanks to the onboard 5,000mAh battery.

And when it’s time to charge the 30W Dart charge can full charge the device in just 65 minutes or 60 per cent in 30 minutes.

The realme 7 5G smartphone is available for pre-order now in Mist Blue and Flash Silver for $499 from JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Bing Lee, Mobileciti, 5GWORLD, Amazon, Kogan, eBay, Catch.com.au and The Good Guys. It officially goes on sale on February 11.

The first 4,000 customers who purchase a realme 7 5G will also receive a bonus realme Buds Q earphones valued $79.
