Oppo unveils Find X5 Pro smartphone which takes imaging to the next level

Oppo today unveiled its new flagship Find X5 Pro smartphone which offers a sleek design, an improved display and an updated imaging system which produces stunning images and videos in any conditions.

The device’s design, the company says, was inspired by the curved body of a spacecraft and uses only high-end materials.

The rear panel is made of ultra-hard true ceramic that takes 160 hours to create.

The Find X5 Pro has a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen which can display more than a billion colours and display the full P3 colour gamut.

The device has multi-brightness colour calibration which allows it to create colours that look accurate based on the lighting conditions.

The device is powered by the latest multicore Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and has a 5000mAh dual cell battery which offers more than 11 per cent improvement over the Find X3 Pro.

It supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging and 30W AIRVOOC wireless charging so you can get the battery back to 100 per cent even faster.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro has an IP68 rating which makes it splash, water and dust resistant.

But it’s the camera system that will get people talking.

The Find X5 Pro offers a world-first imaging experience and includes a dedicated imaging neural processing unit developed by Oppo – Marisilicon X which can address a smartphone’s greatest weakness – night-time recording.

The chip uses powerful AI computing which results in a four-time improvement in perceived night video resolution and produces less grain with superior colour reproduction even at 4K.

Wide and ultrawide angle cameras include Sony’s 50-megapixel IMX766 flagship sensors.

The wide-angle camera also has a five axis OIS (optical image stabilisation) system to reduce shake and sharpen scenes.

Also on board is an upgraded front-facing 32-megapixel camera that also takes advantage of the Marisilicon X imaging NPU to make your selfies look better than ever before.

Oppo has also partnered with well-known image in brand Hasselblad and takes advantage of their software to bring out the best in your photography.

“Elsewhere, many of OPPO’s breakthrough innovations can be found on the Find X5 Series such as our upgraded 360° Smart Antenna 3.0 ensuring stable connectivity.

“Find X5 Series owners will have access to OPPO’s premium International Warranty Service, which can be used at over 2,500 service centres in 62 countries and regions across the globe.”

Pricing and availability of the Oppo Find X5 Pro will be announced in the coming weeks.
