Oppo has released its new Find X8 Pro smartphone that delivers a flagship experience across the board with its camera, performance and battery life.
The new Find X8 Pro also sees the introduction of ColorOS15 which includes several Oppo AI features.
“We’ve heard the demand from our Australian users in the last two years to bring our flagship Find X Series to local shores, and we’ve listened,” says OPPO Australia Managing Director, Michael Tran.
“We’re proud to announce that the Oppo Find X8 Pro is now officially on sale in Australia.
“Continuing the legacy of the Find X Series as a true smartphone flagship, the Find X8 Pro pushes the envelope even further.
“With cutting-edge AI features that simplify everyday tasks and elevate smartphone photography, powered by Oppo’s own AI algorithms and our ongoing partnership with Hasselblad, the Find X8 Pro is truly setting a new global benchmark for excellence.”
The device has a 6.78-inch Infinite View display with a trim 1.9mm bezel and quad curved glass front and back.
It has a 120Hz refresh rate with 1600 nits peak brightness with HDR content coming through it up to 4500 nits.
The screen features Splash Touch which means you can use the phone with wet hands and in wet conditions.
On the camera side, the Oppo Find X8 Pro features an all-new Hasselblad Master Camera system which includes an advanced 50MP quad camera and features 135mm (6x) periscope camera and larger 23mm wide angle sensor.
For the first time on an Oppo smartphone is the triple prism periscope camera with a 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor which offers outstanding clarity and exceptional low light performance.
The Find X8 Pro is the first smartphone in the world with two periscope cameras for gapless zoom.
AI Telescope Zoom delivers impressive images even at 60x magnification so you can still take a great shot from the top of a mountain or from the back row at a concert.
Another new photography feature is Lightning Snap which captures a burst of photos at up to seven frames per second with a long press of the shutter button.
Users can also record Dolby Vision HDR video at up to 4K resolution 60fps (frames per second) from all the cameras including the front 32MP camera.
When it comes to AI, the Oppo Find X8 Pro running ColorOS15 you’ll find tools like the Oppo AI Eraser, AI Clarity Enhance, AI Unblur and AI Reflection Remover to transform your photos.
And with Oppo’s AI Studios it’s possible to create custom avatars and social media content.
The AI Toolbox in ColorOS15 also offers features including AI Summary, AI Speak, AI Reply and AI Writer to enhance your creativity and productivity.
Under the hood is a 5910mAh silicon carbon battery for what Oppo is calling multi day operation.
And with the 80W Oppo SUPERVOOC charging you’ll be back to 100 per cent in just minutes
The Oppo Find X8 Pro has 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and is priced at $1,799 at JB HiFi and Oppo’s Australia’s online store.
