Apple has announced the new Apple Watch Series 5 with an always-on display so you can always see the time and keep an eye on your complications.

The device will go on sale in Australia on September 20 with prices starting at $649 for the Bluetooth GPS model and $799 for GPS plus Cellular.

The always-on feature is made possible by an innovative new LTPO (low temperature poly silicone and oxide) display technology which intelligently dims when the user’s wrist is down and returns to full brightness with a raise or tap.

Also onboard the Apple Watch Series 5 is a built-in compass and an updated Apple Maps app so you can easily see what direction you’re facing.

There is also international emergency calling with the cellular models of the Apple Watch Series 5 for call to emergency services regardless of where the customer purchased the device.

Now with Apple Watch Studio, customers can also now choose their preferred case and band combination to suit their taste and create the look they want.

The Apple Watch line-up will now include a new brushed titanium material in natural and black as well as the stainless steel finish in gold, silver and gold, aluminium in silver, gold and space black and new white ceramic.

Apple also announced an Apple Watch Nike with new colours as well as new styles in the Apple Watch Hermes.
