Uniden’s new car kit lets you take the XTRAK 50 UHF radio on the road

The Uniden XTRAK 50 is a popular UHF handheld radio but now you can turn it into a fully functional in-vehicle radio with the release of the Uniden ACCX50 car kit.

Whether you are off-roading with a 4WD, driving a work vehicle or running a fleet of cars, the waterproof XTRAK 50 can now be used inside your vehicle hands-free with the installation of the Uniden ACCX50 car kit.

This opens up even more flexibility with the radio now being able to be used not only on its own but also between vehicles.

The accessory kit includes an Australian-first one-touch instant replay button which can record and replay up to four minutes of recent messages from as far back as six minutes earlier so you don’t miss important information in noisy surroundings.

On its own, the XTRAK 50 has a range of up to 17km.

With the UHF accessory car kit, users can mount the XTRAK50 in their vehicle so you can easily see the large anti-glare OLED display.

The radio has 5W of power, 80 UHF channels and a smart key so you can switch between instant channel, monitor call tone or equaliser.

The onboard battery also offers up to 30 hours of use so you can stay in touch wherever you are.

The Uniden XTRAK 50 5W waterproof smart UHF handheld radio with large OLED display and instant replay function is priced at $329.95.

The Uniden ACCX50 UHF accessory car kit which includes a charger, magnetic bracket and antenna for the XTRAK 50 series is priced at $129.95.
