Reolink has expanded its floodlight solutions with the new Solar Floodlight Cam that can bring bright protection to your home without electrical wiring or the need to recharge a battery.
The device has a fixed solar panel above the camera along with two adjustable arms to allow the homeowner to aim the lights to their desired area.
Onboard the Reolink Solar Floodlight Cam is a 2K HD camera and 1000-lumen floodlight.
It uses AI detection with a self-sustaining solar design that is constantly powering the 7,800mAh battery to deliver completely wireless protection.
Reolink’s SolarEase technology requires just one hour of sunlight through the integrated solar panel to power the floodlight camera for a whole day and supports full illumination of the floodlights after the sun has gone down.
The unit has up to 26 per cent charging efficiency – a 20 per cent improvement in efficiency over the previous model so it can still harness a charge in low light conditions as low as 1,000 lux.
It will continue to provide power under partial shade.
And when the battery is full charged the battery aboard the camera can run for up to three months without any further solar input.
The Reolink Solar Floodlight has 2K video resolution with a 150-degree field of view so it can capture wider areas like driveways and other larger outdoor spaces.
The AI detection can also tell the difference between people, animals and vehicles and adjust the floodlights on each occasion.
It is smart enough to stay bright to ward off intruders but will dim for pets and other wildlife.
There is also a 110-decibel siren that can be activated manually or programmed to trigger in other situations.
Users can tune in to the Solar Floodlight Cam’s live feed through the Reolink companion app, check alerts as well as customise lighting levels and talk through the cameras two-way audio in real time like a phone call.
The camera can also integrate with the Reolink Home Hub and Reolink NVR to expand your existing system.
