LG will be helping customers embrace their green thumb with a new product that will be unveiled at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January.

The indoor gardening appliance combines a lamp with a flowerpot to make it possible for customer to grow plants and bring nature inside their homes.

It is designed to help gardening newcomers take advantage of their indoor space and nurture a wide variety of flowers, herbs and plants.

The product has a lampshade design and a small apartment-friendly footprint.

It has a height adjustable LED lamp that can stand tall or be positioned closer to the floor.

It can not only provide light for the room in upwards mode but also support optimal plant growth in the downward lighting mode.

The appliance has a 5.5L water tank which can offer plenty of irrigation between refills.

The LG product comes with a 20 plant kit with the ability to dispense the correct amount of water and light for each type of plant.

Customers will be able to plant up to four types of plants at the same time.

The system is compatible with the LG ThinQ app to make it easier to manage cultivation schedules and lighting conditions while monitoring growth.

“Our new indoor gardening appliances present a fresh way for customers to create their own personal green spaces, have fun growing their own plants, and infuse their homes with an inspired touch of modern style,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company.

“We will continue to deliver innovative indoor solutions that allow anyone to experience the joy of gardening, regardless of where they live.”

The Consumer Electronics Show kicks off on January 7 in Las Vegas.

Tech Guide will be on the ground at CES in Las Vegas to bring you the latest announcements and hands-on first looks.
