Leading home security brand Arlo has announced Arlo Secure 6, the latest generation of the company’s home security subscription service which includes new AI-powered features including Event Captions and Video Search.
These enhancements are designed to make Arlo’s home security solutions faster and more accessible.
Event Captions are available now while Video Search will be released soon.
Arlo Secure 6 builds on previous features like person recognition, vehicle recognition, custom detection and advanced audio detection.
Now with Event Captions and Video Search it is a major shift in how users interact with their security footage and empowers them to find what they’re looking for quickly rather than going through hours of footage.
Event Captions is a feature that will generate a short but accurate description of the type of motion detected whether it’s a person walking towards your front door or a package being delivered.
This means users will understand what’s in the camera footage without viewing the video itself.
Video Search is a new functionality that’s coming soon to the Arlo Secure 6 and it will be able to quickly locate various events by searching with keywords, descriptions or specific time ranges.
This will make locating specific clips even faster and without having to sift through hours of videos.
And thanks to AI, users can search using natural language by simply describing the event you’re interested in.
Arlo will then go ahead and find the relevant clips.
With Event Captions and Video Search, Arlo Secure 6 goes a step further than just traditional surveillance and now offers context, clarity and control in real time.
Arlo says it’s Secure 6 AI-powered features a more than just another update, it’s a smarter, faster and easier way to stay connected to what matters most.
Arlo’s Event Caption feature is available now for new and existing users through the Arlo secure app while Video Search will roll out in the coming months.
Any customer who purchases an Arlo product will receive a 30-day trial of Arlo Secure Plus with purchase so they can try the service for themselves.
