Amazon has launched new smart home security brand Blink in Australia and New Zealand with a range of security cameras that can be used inside and out.
The Blink products and accessories will be available exclusively through Bunnings Warehouse and on amazon.com.au/blinkau.
The range includes the Blink Outdoor 4 – a wireless outdoor camera- and the Blink Mini 2 – a plug in indoor and outdoor camera.
Research shows that more than 80 per cent of Australians want to invest in their home security annually.
The new Blink cameras start at $69 and can easily connect to your home’s wi-fi and allow customers to monitor their home from anywhere and talk to people through the camera using the companion app.
The Outdoor 4 is powered by two AA batteries which offer up to two years of battery life thanks to the proprietary chip designed to save power while still enabling smart notifications and person detection using computer vision.
Person detection will be part of the Blink Subscription Plus plan and will be able to distinguish a person from an object or an animal.
“We know that Aussies want to invest in home security products but that cost-of-living pressures are impacting us all,” said Mark Fletcher, Blink Managing Director, APAC.
“We’re thrilled to launch Blink in Australia and New Zealand, bringing our customers more feature-packed options at incredible value.
“For those considering the installation of a smart home security system, the Outdoor 4 and Mini 2 cameras from Blink are an ideal, and affordable, place to start.”
