Rode has released the latest addition to its line-up of USB microphones – the NT-USB+ – a pro-level yet compact microphone that’s ideal for podcasters, streamers, musicians and anyone else interested in capturing studio-quality audio.
Based on the original NT-USB released in 2014, the NT-USB+ has the same familiar form factor but adds several enhancements.
“The original NT-USB was an instant success when it launched almost a decade ago, setting a lofty standard for studio-quality USB microphones,” said Rode CEO Damien Wilson.
“With the NT-USB+, we are setting a new standard.
“We have kept the form factor and functionality that made the original such a success and introduced several new features, integrating cutting-edge technology for the next wave of creators.
“Plug-and-play USB audio has never sounded this good.”
The new features include a studio grade condenser capsule that can offer the same characteristic sound of a larger diaphragm condenser microphones.
The NT-USB+ also features ultra-low noise high gain Revolution preamp and 24-bit/48kHz analog-to-digital conversion.
Also onboard is an internal DSP (digital signal processor) to make it possible for advanced APHEX processing and a high-pass filter to eliminate any low-end rumbles.
The Rode NT-USB+ connects via USB-C and works with Mac and Windows computers as well as Android and iOS devices.
Included with the microphone is a pop filter and a tripod mount which makes it easy to set up on a desktop.
The Rode NT-USB+ is available now and is priced at $269.
