Robots vacuums top our wishlists as Ecovacs launches Deebot X1 Plus

What’s the hottest tech product and appliance Australian customers have got their eye on? It’s not a TV, a speaker or a coffee machine – it’s a robot vacuum according to the latest market research.

The research was commissioned by Ecovacs Robotics, one of the leading robotics brands, which today unveiled the latest model in its premium Deebot X1 family – the Deebot X1 Plus.

The study showed more than 60 per cent of Australians aspire to own a robot vacuum with one in three aiming to purchase one within the next 12 months.

Robot vacuums topped the wish list ahead of TVs, coffee machines and other popular technology and appliances.

This trend reflects the fact that more than 80 per cent of Australians surveyed are open to the idea of robotics in their home to take over their chores and give them some time back.

And while there has never been a greater demand for robot vacuums and mops, they also have to look good and deliver excellent performance at the same time, the research showed.

The Deebot X1 Plus offers premium design that was a signature of the range which is created in conjunction with Jacob Jensen design.

Under the hood of the new Deebot X1 Plus are most of the Ecovacs innovations including the strongest suction power at 5000Pa, the latest AI VI 3D and TrueMapping 2.0 technologies and the first natural language interactive Yiko AI Voice Assistant.

Also on board is the Ozmo Pro 3 oscillating mopping system which also includes a built-in air freshener to keep things clean and smelling good at the same time.

The included auto-empty station also makes life easier by automatically emptying the dustbin after vacuuming for a truly hands-free and hygienic cleaning experience.

“Since launching the first two models of the Deebot X1 Family that were a collaboration with Jacob Jensen Design, we have been overwhelmed with the response locally, and are delighted to be adding the Deebot X1 Plus into the mix,” said Karen Powell, Head of Ecovacs Robotics in Australia and New Zealand.

“This is particularly exciting as our latest market research shows that 59 per cent of surveyed Australians have a strong interest in interior design trends and almost two-thirds of those surveyed would like to own a robot vacuum in the future.

“We truly believe the Deebot X1 Plus will be the most beautiful robot vacuum in the market, something that can rightfully take pride of place in your home while delivering an unprecedented hands-free clean. Simply put, we believe that home cleaning has never looked so good.”

Ecovacs Robotics Deebot X1 Plus key features:

– 5000Pa of suction power for a lasting clean, effectively vacuuming dust off both hard floors and carpets.

–  OZMO Pro 3.0 Oscillating Mopping System that ensures no stubborn stains remain on the floor.

– Ecovacs Auto-Empty Station removes the need to empty the dust bin after every clean and with a fully sealed drawer style design dust bag, dust and allergens are contained.

– Mapping and obstacle detection. ECOVACS’ AIVI 3D technology significantly improves the robot’s perception of the environment using laser and visual sensing technologies

– TrueMapping 2.0 technology speeds up mapping and offers a wider field of view.

–  AIVI 3D technology adds a third dimension to household mapping. It increases mapping speed, reduces cleaning time

– YIKO is the industry’s first natural language, built-in interactive assistant tailored for home service robots. By combining voice and visual AI algorithms, YIKO enables natural language communication and multimodal interaction.

The Deebot X1 Plus (Black) is priced at $1,899 and available from Bing Lee, Godfreys, JB Hi-Fi and ECOVACS.com/au.
