Arlo’s Chime 2 adds more security and convenience to Arlo’s wireless video doorbell
The Arlo Essential Wirefree Video Doorbell lets you know who’s at your door by calling your phone but the new Arlo Chime 2 can now provide instant audible alerts inside your home when the doorbell is pressed or if motion is detected.
The small unit plugs into a regular power point and can pair wirelessly to your home network and doesn’t require a base station.
Connection is as simple as scanning the barcode on the back through the Arlo app and then linking it your network before pairing it to your Arlo Essential Wirefree Video Doorbell.
During set-up you will also discover doorbell sound options so you can choose the tune or sound when someone presses the doorbell.
It’s also possible to set up the Arlo Chime 2 to act as a siren for an Arlo wireless security camera when motion or audio is detected.
And even if you have two Arlo Essential Wirefree Video Doorbells for two entrances to your house or business, you can pair them both to a single Arlo Chime 2.
Because it’s connected to a power point, there is also no worry about charging the device.
The Arlo Chime 2 needs to be within range of your wi-fi router and doesn’t need to be close to the doorbell so the chime can be placed anywhere in your home.
The Arlo Chime 2 will be available this month and will be priced at $79.
