Netgear’s new Nighthawk AC1900 combines a high-speed modem and router

Netgear has expanded the Nighthawk range of products with the AC1900 that combines a high-speed modem with a wi-fi router to cover all of your networking needs.

The Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi VDSL/ADSL Modem Router (D7000) has dual band wi-fi and Gigabit Ethernet and an embedded DSL modem that supports both ADSL and VDSL standards.

And being a Nighthawk product, it’s fast. The AC1900 has the latest 802.11ac wi-fi standard which means it can provide speeds on your home network between 600 and 1300 Mbps.

Onboard is a dual-core 1Ghz processor plus high-powered amplifiers and three external antennas.

The device uses Beamforming technology that improves the range and reliability so even large homes have a good network coverage.

The Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi VDSL/ADSL Modem Router (D7000) makes it possible to connect even more devices in your home including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers plus gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and smart TVs.

On top of the wi-fi connectivity, the device also has two USB 3.0 ports which are 10 times faster than USB 2.0.

Users can connect hard drives to these USB 3.0 ports to share the content wirelessly on your home network.

The ports on the Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi VDSL/ADSL Modem Router (D7000) can also be used to connect a printer so anyone on your wireless network can share it make it possible to print from any computer or from your iPhone or iPad.
