LG reveals pricing and availability for its 2019 TV and soundbar range

LG has revealed the pricing and availability of its stunning new 2019 TV and soundbar range which provide a new level of intelligence, larger screen sizes, even higher resolution and stunning sound.

LG also unveiled the 88-inch 8K Z9 OLED TV – a breakthrough television powered by the Alpha 9 Gen 2 Intelligent Processor which has an incredibly detailed and vivid picture and six-step upscaling.

The first LG 8K TVs will be available in Australia in the second half of 2019.

LG’s new 4K TVs will be released in the coming weeks and will integrate 4K Cinema HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to provide an even greater home viewing experience.

LG OLED

LG’s range will be spearheaded by its AI ThinQ OLED TVs which will be available in sizes from 55 inches all the way up to 77 inches.

The line-up will come in various form factors including the Picture-On-Wall W9 wallpaper TV (available in 65 and 77 inch versions) along with the E9 Picture-On-Glass OLED TV (65 and 55 inch) and Cinema C9 OLED TV (77-inch, 65-inch, 55-inch) which have razor thin bezels.

LG SUPER UHD

It’s not just all about OLED at LG.

The 2019 LG AI ThinQ Super UHD TVs – the company’s LED and LCD TV line-up – are now available even larger screens to enjoy your favourite movies, TV shows and sporting events like never before.

The LG SUHD Nano Cell TV

They are available in sizes from 49 inches all the way up to 86 inches and have a sleek design with thinner bezels than ever before.

The three largest models in the range – 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch – are all equipped with Nano Cell technology.

With the super UHD range viewers will be able to experience accurate colour, super smooth image for sports and action movies along with wide viewing angles so the picture stays true even when you’re not sitting directly in front of the TV.

Also on board is Full Array Dimming and Full Array Dimming Pro which allows for greater contrast and deeper blacks than ever before.

Customers can also enjoy Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos integration.

And it’s all powered by the Alpha 7 Gen 2 Intelligent Processor.

VOICE ASSISTANTS AND INTELLIGENCE

No matter which 2019 LG TV decide to buy, they will all have voice assistants and built-in intelligence.

Customers can use both Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa via the LG Magic Remote or compatible smart device to find information or to control smart devices in the home.

Later this year, 2019 LG TVs will also be able to support Apple AirPlay2 via a software upgrade so they can easily stream video and audio content from their iOS devices as well as link to Apple’s HomeKit to connect to compatible smart products.

Amazon Alexa support will also be added later this year with a software update.

This makes the LG the only TV brand which allows users to talk directly to both leading voice assistants.

LG 2019 WEB OS

The LG TV operating system – web OS – continues to improve in this year users will notice a few additional features including an intelligent list of most recently used applications so you can pick up where you left off.

For example, when you hover the LG Magic Remote cursor over the Netflix icon, it will reveal the latest and most popular programs as well as the other shows you were watching so you can resume instantly without having to go the long way and search for the application.

LG SOUNDBARS

For LG it’s not just about sight it’s also about sound and the latest range of soundbars have taken the audio experience to the next level.

LG has once again partnered with Meridian, the prestigious British audio brand, to deliver premium soundbar models that deliver strong multi-dimensional sound.

“Our partnership with Meridian means we can deliver amazing audio performance to Australian households – and really provide Aussies with a fully packaged premium viewing experience,” said Angus Jones.

“The 2019 line-up of LG Sound Bars has an additional benefit with the convenience of Google Assistant integration as well.

“It’s incredible how just from just one simple wireless Sound Bar – that anyone can set up – an incredible virtual surround sound experience is achieved.

“The breadth of the new range meets a growing demand for high-end Sound Bar products that provide high-fidelity sound, a premium aesthetic and cutting-edge connectivity.

The LG SL10YG soundbar

“To sum up, 2019 LG Sound Bars are versatile, stylish and aspirational – and will upgrade the home cinema experience to a new level.”

The LG SL10YG, SL9YG and SL8YG all support Dolby Atmos to create a three-dimensional sound experience which will have viewers thinking they are hearing sounds coming from various parts of the room.

These sound bars can also be augmented with rear speakers for an extra 140W and two rear channels.

They also have a gyroscope to detect how they have been positioned – either on a flat surface or mounted on the wall – so they can adjust the output and upward firing speakers accordingly to provide the best results.

The LG SL10YG, SL9YG and SL8YG are also Google Assistant compatible as well as wi-fi and Bluetooth compatibility.

The LG TV and soundbar range will start rolling out in stores in the coming weeks.
