Alcatel OneTouch’s new Idol 3 – the smartphone you can hold any way you want

Alcatel OneTouch has partnered with some well-known tech companies, including JBL and Technicolor, to produce some ear-catching and head-turning features for the new Idol 3 smartphone.

The device, which will be available in two sizes, can also be turned on its head and work in any orientation no matter how you pick it up to answer a call, take a photo or browse the web.

The screen will always be displayed in the right direction.

The Idol 3 has two front facing JBL Audio speakers with Clari-Fi technology onboard for a 3D and surround sound experience to make your movies and music even more enjoyable.

The 4G compatible Idol 3 will be sold in two screen sizes – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch – with Technicolor Colour Enhance technology on board which renders images sharply and easy to read even in bright sunlight.

On the camera side, there’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with a large aperture for low light and a front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens so you can fit your whole group of friends in your selfie.

Under the hood is a quad-core processor for the 4.7-inch model and an octa-core processor aboard the 5.5-inch version.
