Samsung’s latest pocket-sized SSD drive lets you carry your content everywhere

Samsung has unveiled the latest version of its credit card sized portable SSD (solid state drive) which offers multi-terabyte storage capacity so you can store, carry and transfer your content quickly and easily.

The Samsung Portable SSD T3 is small enough to fit in your pocket. It is 7.4cm long, 5.8cm wide and 1.05cm thick.

It is a versatile solution for users like photographers, videographers and designers who work with high volumes of data that need to be stored and shared.

And it’s also suitable for anyone else who wants to expand the storage capacity of their laptop, tablet or smartphone.

It is compatible with a wide range of devices including the latest Android smartphones, Android and Windows tablets along with Windows and Mac computers.

SSD T3 also works seamlessly with the new Samsung Portable SSD Android mobile app.

The Samsung SSD T3 has a USB 3.1 connection so you’ll see transfer speeds of up to 450MB per second which is up to four times faster than rival external HDD (hard disk drive) solutions.

The big difference between SSD and HDD is that SSD has no moving parts which means it is less susceptible to damage after accidental drops or bumps.

The Samsung SSD T3 has a shock-resistant metal case and internal frame and can easily handle a drop from a height of two metres.

On the security side, the device has 256-bit hardware encryption to protect all of your content with a password.

Even if you lost the drive, no one else would be able to access your files without that password.

The Samsung SSD T3 is available now from Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee and Officeworks and are priced at $1,249 (2TB), $649 (1TB), $329 (500GB) and $199 (250GB).
