Laser launches AmbiColour decorative smart lighting range to brighten up your home

Australian tech company Laser has launched an exciting range of new AmbiColour smart decorative lighting products as part of its popular Connect SmartHome range.

The AmbiColour solutions allow users to get creative with their lighting without breaking the bank whether it’s in a bedroom, study, gaming room, mancave or lounge room.

There are five styles of lighting which can each produce a wide array of RGB colours so your lighting can suit your mood or your décor.

These include LED panels, Smart Light Bars, Hexagon Lights, Triangle Lights and LED strips.

These can be ranged in various shapes to suit the room and your lighting needs

The ambient colour lights are compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa which makes it possible to control the lot using your voice or as standalone devices using the connect smart home app.

Some of the products even have their own remote control.

“Over the past four years we’ve seen Australians embrace smart technology like never before, which in turn has made their lives easier and safer,” says Chris Lau, Managing Director of Laser and Head of Connect SmartHome.

“With today’s news we can add colour and vibrancy to people’s homes with smart lighting technology, giving people a chance to decorate their space differently and more affordably than has been possible before.

“We’re excited to continue to educate the market around combining products to create schedules and scenes that enhance your life.

“With this range, they can be easily automated so that when you simply say ‘Hey Google, it’s party time’, or ‘Hey Google, it’s movie time’ your lights will meet the occasion and deliver an immersive entertainment experience.”

CONNECT AmbiColour Smart Light Curtain – $109.95
The AmbiColour Curtain Light strips can be hung to windows, walls, garage doors with hooks and be used in a range of ways in homes or businesses.

Users can load a picture, logo or wording onto the light strips using the companion app or use your creativity to draw a piece of art that will form an image on the light curtain.

It can also produce lighting effects including snowflakes, moving stripes, rainfall and more, and it can be integrated into smart home scenes or used with a timer.

CONNECT AmbiColour Smart Light Bars – $149.95

The nine RGB Bar light panels can be used to create a variety of different shapes with ease. The bars simply click into place using the connecting cables and use supplied double-sided tape to mount panels to the wall.

From the app, customer can choose colours, shades or patterns to suit their room or mood.

CONNECT AmbiColour Smart Hexagon Lights – $149.95

There are 10 RGB hexagon light panels that can be arranged into different patterns without worrying about drilling holes and running wiring. The panels just click into place and use supplied double-sided tape to mount panels to the wall.

Once installed and connected users can select colours, shades or patterns or integrate into pre-existing smarthome scenes.

CONNECT AmbiColour Smart Triangle Lights – $179.95

The 10 RGB Triangle light panels can be arranged into a large triangle, or other assorted shapes and patterns using supplied double-sided tape to mount panels to the wall.

Then the choice of colours and patterns are up to you.

CONNECT AmbiColour Backlight LED Strip – $169.95

The Connect Smart Home AmbiColour LED Light Strip can be used to create an immersive cinema or gaming experience.

To get the LED strip to react to the content on your TV or monitor you connect the smart box analyser to your DVD Player, Blu Ray, Set top box, streaming media player or gaming console via HDMI.

For non-screen related use, it also comes with a microphone built into the smart box, enabling it to match light effects to music or other sounds. With 6 metres of double-sided LED strip, the lights can accommodate up to 85-inch TVs.
