Kogan has released a new device that can turn any TV into a smart TV complete with wireless connectivity to access the internet and the latest apps.
The Kogan Agora Smart TV quad core HDMI Dongle is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and can bring the internet to the best screen in the house – your TV.
This product is aimed at customers who purchased their flatscreen TV before the smart TV models were available but who now want to connect to the internet without having to buy a new TV.
Priced at $99, the Kogan Agora is a small product that plugs into your TV’s HDMI port.
The Agora connect has wi-fi onboard to connect wirelessly with your home’s network.
Once connected you can instantly enable the connection to online services and sites like YouTube, Skype along with an internet browser and the Google Play store to download and use apps right there on your screen.
The dongle also comes with an air mouse/remote so users can control the onscreen cursor for easier navigation and browser.
There is a quad core processor onboard along with 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 32GB and make it even easier to get your favourite content onto your TV.
The Kogan Agora Smart TV quad core HDMI Dongle is priced at $99 and can be pre-ordered from here with a shipping date of October 22.
