Finding the right iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus plan for you
If you want the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus we can help you choose the plan that’s right for you. Tech Guide has put every plan in easy-to-read grids for you to compare.
Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile have all revealed their plans and pricing for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
And we’ve arranged them in a way to help you compare and find the plan that is right for you.
The telcos realise that an iPhone release is a time when a lot of customers are interested in starting a new plan to get hold of the new device.
And as a result they’ve gone out of their way to attract new users to their respective networks.
Plans on the Telstra network start at $77 a month for the iPhone 6 16GB model over 24 months which includes $550 of talk and MMS, unlimited SMS and 500MB data.
While boasting the best network – including the upcoming 700Mhz 4G network (which the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will work on) – the Telstra plans are the most expensive.
It is also offering up to $450 credit for cancellation fees if you’re breaking your existing contract to join Telstra.
Usually quite aggressive when it comes to iPhone plan pricing, Optus has held off on the iPhone 6 Plus pricing and only offered iPhone 6 plans.
UPDATE: Optus plans for iPhone 6 Plus released Monday Sept 15 and appear above.
Optus has the most plans to choose from than any other carrier and have the most data in its tops plans – 8GB – than any other plan from any telco.
So if data is your thing one of these plans might suit.
Optus also has $450 credit if you terminate your existing contract to join its network.
Vodafone has come out swinging with its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus plans with reminders for their other services like $5 day roaming when travelling overseas.
The plans include unlimited calls and SMS across all of its plans as well as generous data allowances.
Virgin Mobile has thrown down the gauntlet with 2GB of bonus data for the life of the plan if you switch from another network or upgrade your existing Virgin Mobile plan.
Virgin Mobile uses the Optus network.
