Belkin’s NetCam lets you keep an eye on things from anywhere
Belkin has just released the new NetCam – a device that allows users to monitor their home or office with a free smartphone or tablet app from anywhere.
NetCam is easy to set up and connect wirelessly to your router before linking to the free NetCam iOS or Android app on your smartphone or tablet.
The whole process took barely two minutes before we could see what the camera is seeing on our device’s screen.
Now you can remotely view your property and also set up alerts to receive emails when motion is detected.
Users can monitor properties, keep an eye on their children or pets and all without a computer.
Apart from viewing live video, the NetCam can also provide clear audio as well so you can see and hear what’s going on.
There are two NetCams in the range – one that also includes Night Vision and another that streams live 720p high definition video.
And not only can you view the video feed on your device, you can also record it to view again later.
There is no additional cost to the service or subscriptions to pay. Once installed it can be viewed as often as you like on either wi-fi or 3G/4G.
The Belkin NetCam will also work with the company’s popular WeMo home control platform.
In fact the NetCam HD can act as a motion sensor to trigger another WeMo device to turn on or off.
The Belkin NetCam Wi-Fi Camera with Night Vision is priced at $129.95 and available now.
The NetCam HD Wi-Fi Camera will be priced at $169.95 and will be available in December.
