The 32GB version of the ASUS Nexus 7 is now on sale in Australia with a screen resolution that’s better than the iPad Mini and priced at $319.
The Google tablet has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 with 10-finger multi-touch capability and powered by a 1.2Ghz quad core processor.
Running the latest Jelly Bean Android 4.1 operating system, the Nexus 7 also has a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera and weighs 340g.
With the recent release of the iPad Mini, there has been a lot of attention in the 7-inch tablet space.

The iPad Mini’s 7.9-inch screen has a resolution of 1024 x 768 while the Nexus 7’s display is 1280 x 800.
Apple’s iPad Mini is priced at $369 for the 16GB version and $479 for the 32GB model.
The ASUS Nexus 7 32GB is available now and is priced at $319 with the 8GB version still available for $269 from Harvey Norman, JB HiFi, Dick Smith Electronics, The Good Guys, Bing Lee, Radio Rentals, Office Works and EB Games.
