Tech Guide has been reviewing the Acer Swift Go 14 AI and it’s a machine that can hold its own with a slick design, an outstanding display, stunning performance and Copilot+ AI onboard.
The Swift Go 14 AI is an excellent daily driver that can keep you productive when you need to be, help you smash through demanding tasks thanks to the Snapdragon X Elite Platform that’s got your back.
On the design side, the Acer Swift Go 14 AI delivers.
It is made from lightweight aluminium while still offering remarkable durability.
It weighs just 1.34kg and, when we were carrying it around in our backpack, we forgot it was even in there it was so light.
The Acer Swift Go 14 AI is made to be used on the move.
For added peace of mind, it has a military grade durability rating so you don’t have to pack it away in bubble wrap or cotton wool.
It also has a 180-degree hinge which means you can fold the screen all the back flat to the desk.
We liked this because it gave us a comfortable way to carry around the Swift Go 14 AI and it gave us more options on how we could comfortably view the screen when we weren’t sitting at a desk.
The 14.5-inch 2.8K WUXGA display is impressive and while it’s not OLED it still offers vibrant natural colours and excellent brightness and it a brilliant workspace whether you’re editing photos and videos, using applications, browsing the web and watching movies.
And it’s even easy on your eyes with the Bluelight Shield and EyeSafe 2.0.
Performance-wise, the Acer Swift Go 14 AI delivers in spades.
Under the hood our review unit had 16GB RAM (which can be configured higher) and 512GB SSD (solid state drive) storage. You can have up to 1TB of storage.
The laptop’s keyboard is well spaced with quiet keys with just the right amount of travel for comfortable and accurate typing.
And the trackpad is also a generous size so it’s easy to navigate without a mouse. The trackpad also an activity indicator so you can tell when Copilot has been activated.
The Snapdragon X Elite chip does all the heavy lifting when it’s time to power through challenging tasks using high-end apps video and audio editing tools.
The silicon delivers 45 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) which means all the AI processing happens in seconds on the device.
Speaking of AI, the Acer Swift Go 14 AI is a Copilot+ PC so it has AI built in so it can be used system wide across Microsoft’s suite of apps, along with Adobe’s Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere, Canva and Capcut.
You can enjoy Live Captions, Recall and use Microsoft Paint Cocreator.
Speaking of apps, there are a lot of Acer extras on top of what Microsoft offers in Windows and Copilot.
And all these experiences are run efficiently on the Acer Swift Go 14 AI so it’s fast and it’s secure.
One of the best features, and there are many, is the battery life which Acer quotes as being up to 29 hours – and we have to agree.
When we were using the Acer Swift Go 14 AI as our daily driver, we could run the machine for two full workdays before we needed to reach for the charger.
That’s result of the Snapdragon chip creating even more efficiency not just on performance but also on the power side as well.
Part of this power efficiency is a result of Acer’s User Sensing which dims and locks the laptop when you’re not in front of it and then wakes up again when you approach it.
When it comes to connectivity the Acer Swift Go 14 AI has plenty going on – it has two USB 3.2 (Type A) ports and two USB-C ports.
The onboard 1440p QHD webcam can be controlled with the Acer PurifiedView 2.0 which makes it easy to adjust the settings including lighting, background and sharpness.
For those who have a lot of video meetings – and that’s pretty much everyone nowadays – this is a feature you’ll get to know well.

Also onboard is Wi-Fi 7 so you can get some cracking speeds especially if you have a Wi-Fi 7 router or mesh system.
