Modern technology gives us many things.

UE Boom wireless speakers makes your music more social

ueboom4Ultimate Ears has introduced a social music player called the UE Boom – a small wireless speaker for users to turn listening to their audio into a group experience.

The small speaker, whose design was inspired by a water bottle, offers 360-degree sound and durable construction.

UE Boom is wrapped in an acoustic skin that is water and stain resistant so you can take it anywhere.

It is 18cm tall and 6.5cm wide and weighs 538g

Listeners can link to the wireless speaker with Bluetooth to allow their music to be heard.

Each of the UE speakers can remember up to eight devices at a time so your friends can take turns playing DJ with their favourite songs.

There’s also a UE Boom app for iPhone and Android to amplify the listening experience.

Using the app it makes it easy to create a stereo pair with two UE Booms or connect a pair to offer the same sound for a larger area.

Onboard the device is a rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 15 hours which is easily long enough for an all-night party.

And being waterproof the UE Boom speakers can also be used at the beach, by the pool and even in the shower.

There’s a small hook on the bottom to allow them to be suspended. This hook can also be removed and has a thread to allow the speaker to fit into a tripod.

Audio quality is quite impressive with a frequency range from 90Hz to 20Hz through two 1.5-inch full-range drivers and two 2-inch passive radiators.

It’s possible to stream your music from your smartphone, tablet and other Bluetooth devices and supporting the latest Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for higher quality output.

The UE Boom speakers also has NFC (near field communication) to make Bluetooth pairing even easier. All you need to do it touch a compatible NFC device to the speakers and the connection is made.

There’s also a 3.5mm audio output to physically connect a device with a cable. This port is on the bottom of the device and will prevent the speaker being able to sit upright.

The good news is it can also rest on its side and is weighted in such a way so the device can settle into the ideal listening position for the speakers.

Ultimate Ears is brand owned by Logitech and was created by musicians to redefine the way we listen to and experience our music.

The UE Boom speakers are available now in various colours and are priced at $199.95 at Dick Smith, JB Hi-Fi, Apple Stores, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman and Myer.
